G'Day
I am glad to see that you have found my website! I am an Aussie girl living in the Illawarra, about 80 km south of Sydney. Being a truly Bohemian spirit, I spend most of my time reading and writing poems and puzzles, painting, photographing, playing and composing music (mainly classical music), and in contact with nature. I really love these activities, they are my life, my "raison d'être" .
I would also like to have true friends though, or somebody who "understands"... And I would like to be able to help people who need me. At the moment, I am considering becoming active in some movement for the protection of the environment, or to help the underprivileged. Although I don't come from an underprivileged family, I suffered bad abuse in my life (and I am still the victim of abuse!), and I would like "to make a difference" so that other people don't share my fate. And I mean it! I am currently also donating 7% of my Lulu income to charity. (Lulu is my Internet shop).
I have set up two email addresses to help people. If you have a problem and think I can help you, please click here. I don't get so terribly many emails at the moment. I would like to help if I can. Please write if you think I can be of any help.
If you suffer from Asperger's and would like to share your experiences, this is the place to go. I am an aspie myself. Find out more about Asperger's. I am also mildly bipolar, and my health in general is failing.
OK, more about me now... I finished my studies in languages (5 languages: English, German, Italian, Spanish, and French)) summa cum laude, and also hold diplomas in several other fields (sociology, public relations, educational sciences), all with top marks (fortunately? unfortunately?). I understand three additional languages (Portuguese, Esperanto, and Latin).
These are some of my diplomas / awards (2005):
And this is my very latest one (I am the only woman
in Australia who has won this award):

I am blessed (or cursed?) with a high IQ (above 164 sd16), and am currently a member of more than 40 High-IQ Societies. Although some of them are nice, I have basically stopped joining new societies now if they don't have a "purpose" or a focus. Besides, there is probably something good and something bad in everyone, and nobody has the right to look down on others. For me, these societies are just places where I can occasionally find like-minded people and intellectual stimuli. In general, I have not found real happiness in the HiQ world, but I have found some great people and friends.
I have founded a society myself, Divine Madness, a society for "tormented" artists (it is not a HiQ society, although there are many members from the HiQ world), as well as a society for creative people.
I have or have had more than 20 publishers for my poems and puzzles (including HiQ and/or Internet societies), and have won many awards, particularly as a child. I feel I have been put under pressure as a child prodigy, as they said (it is somehow annoying to be different, or maybe it is not annoying to be different, but it is annoying to be marginalized because one is different), so I have now stopped participating in competitions too and I have also slowed down on publications. I won my first competition at the tender age of 1 for the most beautiful smile. Well, I guess I have sort of changed... Life doesn't make me too happy now.
I think I had already changed my mind at 5. I don't think I was a happy child.

I had my first art and poetry exhibition in October 2004 in Kiama, NSW (together with other artists). More had to come.
These are some of my own publications as of April 2005 (yep, there is also a book in German):
Of course, they keep growing! I've got almost two shelves now (January 2009).
I am also lucky enough to live near the University of Wollongong and its huge library. I love to go there to read books. I don't really like the Internet, although it can be useful at times (for research) and also for quick information, as well as talking to people who really understand you (not for idle chatting).
This is my beloved library, my haven of peace:

And these are some of my own poetry books (I bought some of them in second-hand shops, others were free in front of the same second-hand shops; they are really good stuff, but unfortunately people are not very interested in poetry. Poetry books are usually the cheapest books in second-hand shops, quite often they are even free, so these shops are a real paradise for me; they even inform me personally when they have new poetry and music books, and, yes, they have already "guessed" I am a poet myself):
I work hard to improve my artistic endeavours because I believe that having a high IQ or also being talented is not enough. One has to work to develop this potential - otherwise it will just wither. Besides, it wouldn't be fair. Apart from my artistic endeavours, I also work with languages. I recently translated the Wikipedia article on the ISPE (of which I am a Diplomate, as you saw above) into four languages. I also do occasional translations for other international organizations. All for free.
I do many things, but I believe I still have to grow and have to work hard for it!
This is me with one of my newest instruments, the pan flute. Music is my new passion, something that has changed my life for the better. I currently play the piano, the keyboard, the flute, the pan flute, the classical guitar, the acoustic guitar, and the ukulele. A nice, huge family, as you can see.
You can find more photos here.
And this is where I live:
More images of the beautiful
area where I live (including some Aussie mates)
here.
If you aren't tired yet, I'll share with you some of my poems, paintings, music, and puzzles. You can find more at Lulu.
I have also written a book on poetry forms which will be published by a major publisher next year or so. You can find the essay on Free Verse here.
Just for fun, I have also created four poetry forms myself (don't expect too much though). Maybe I will create more one day, or something more appealing.
All material on this website is my copyright. The website is also my design, my very first one!
Thank you for still being with me!
